EPS – expanded polystyreneEPS - expanded polystyrene. Expanded suspension polystyrene with particles surface treatment; it is made by styrene suspension polymerization over sponging agents. EPS has a structure with plenty of non-intercommunicating cells; therefore, it does not absorb water. This is a good shock-absorbing material (if thick enough), and a good thermal insulator. For in-depth analysis we seldom refer only to the Foreign Trade Code (Group 3903), but we make our own more precise correlation of EPS types by each grade of each producer.
